That's better. The return of more 'normal' days, i.e. not called off due to the rain, meant things went a lot better for me last week. In fact, it felt like a breeze. I hope next week is the same as that would make me feel a lot more optimistic about the month. The reason I want to feel more optimistic is because we are now at the point where we head into less meetings. I am not expecting any fireworks and I suggest you reset expectations as well. To try and get some really big totals when there is less on is not realistic.
With less opportunities on the horse racing front I did mess around with the Soccer last week. Mess around is the best way to describe it, I am still some way from deciding what I want to do.

Hello Pin Sticker - could you please tell me if your blog name has anything to do with your trading style. Do you 'stick a pin' in a price when trading based on the direction you think the markets is going to move, and then wait patiently to take the profit when enough ticks have passed that 'pin' in the right direction? Of course, I could be miles away but it's just a thought. Secondly, you mention in the previous posting that you played around until you got some very 'clear direction' - what was that clear direction? Can you please sum it up. Much thanks and best of luck in the home straight - Robbo
I am pleased that your confidence has been restored, lets hope you make loads of profit.
Nice to see the numbers back up there. When achieving these results, do you ever gamble. Are there any weeks where the totals comprise some days when you placed a bet on a favourite that looked so strong in the market? Do you ever gamble or place bets on one outcome to generate profit? Or even for fun...though losing money isn't much fun. Making money is, and you seem to put pretty good at it! Thanks and good luck.
Hi PinSticker. I would like to know what's your opinion on BF charges that begin on the 22nd of September. How much do you think will cost you a usual profit week? do you think these charges are fair?
thanks
Alex

Not at all, I'll try and work out what the market is due to do and take a position from there. By that I mean will it trend, be jumpy etc. Sticking pins doesn't come into it. Just thought it was a suitably funny name.
"do you ever gamble"
Never, When I started I used to but I quickly realised being able to take a loss was a very important thing to do so I never let a trade turn into a gamble.
